Welcome to Kellands School Nursery
“Where everybody is somebody”
Welcome to Kellands School Nursery - a warm and inclusive community where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to thrive.
We aim to provide a happy, caring environment where children feel safe, confident and ready to learn. We hope you find this information helpful and that your association with Kellands School begins positively and happily.
Please remember - our staff are always here to help. If you have any questions at any time, just ask.
All children are supported carefully as they begin nursery.
Each child will be assigned a Key Worker during their induction and settling-in period. This adult will build a close relationship with your child and support their wellbeing and development.
As children settle, this may change if your child forms a stronger attachment with another member of staff - ensuring they always feel secure, comfortable and supported.
Our rationale, values and aims were made in consultation with the school, staff, parent/carers, and the children in 2019, and updated through consultation in 2025.
Our vision of Kellands School and Nursery is that children are respected and included in an environment:
“Where everybody is somebody”
and children can adopt a positive attitude towards learning:
“Giving it a go!”
Kellands School Nursery is a community where all children, staff and parents learn together.
Through this learning we aim…
🟡 Create a safe, happy and stimulating environment
where every child feels valued, nurtured and inspired to learn through play and exploration
🌳 Embrace outdoor learning
providing rich opportunities for discovery, curiosity, and connection with the natural world
